FBR establishes mobile enforcement unit for monitoring cargo journey

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has established Mobile Enforcement Unit (MEU) in order to prevent smuggling and non-duty paid items and for monitoring of cargo throughout the journey from the port of entry to the port of exit or from one warehouse to another.

ISLAMABAD: The ministry of finance has notified revision in basic pay scales and allowances of civil servants of federal government – 2017. The significance of changes is that the ad hoc allowance for 2017 will be subjected to income tax.

Annual headline inflation increases by 4.16 percent

ISLAMABAD: The average annual headline inflation i.e. Consumer Price Index (CPI) has increased by 4.16 percent during fiscal year 2016/2017 as compared with the increase of 2.86 percent in the preceding fiscal year, according to data released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Monday.
