Pakistan trade deficit widens by 21pc to $24.27bn in eight months


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s trade deficit has widened by 21 percent to $24.27 billion during first eight months of current fiscal year as compared with the deficit of $20.01 billion in the corresponding months of the last fiscal year, according to trade data released by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Friday.

Overseas Pakistanis remit $12.8bn in eight months


KARACHI: Overseas Pakistanis have remitted $12.8 billion during (first eight months) July – February 2017/2018, which is 3.41 percent higher than $12.41 billion in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said on Friday.
