Audit Policy 2017: FBR excludes already selected taxpayers from random computerized balloting

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Tuesday issued Audit Policy – 2017 for selection of audit for tax year 2016 (July 01, 2015 to June 30, 2016) through random computerized balloting. The audit policy exempted taxpayers from random balloting, who are already selected by filed formation or selected in the previous tax year.

Yarn merchants demand suspending anti-dumping duty

KARACHI: Pakistan Yarn Merchant Association (PYMA) has demanded the government to suspend anti-dumping duty on filament yarn until domestic manufacturers achieve production capacity to fulfil demands of industries.

Overseas Pakistanis remit $14.6bn in nine months

KARACHI: Overseas Pakistanis have remitted $14.6 billion during first nine months (July – March) of current fiscal year as compared with $14.1 billion in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year, showing growth of 3.56 percent.
