Commercial importers threaten country-wide protest against FTR abolition

KARACHI: Commercial importers have threatened country-wide protests against abolition of final tax regime (FTR) and increasing tax burden.

FBR to obtain foreigners’ details from 350 stock brokers

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will obtain details of foreign investors from around 350 stock brokers for the purpose of automatic exchange of information under the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) Rules.

Headline inflation increases by 3.7pc in April 2018

KARACHI: The benchmark headline inflation based on Consumer Price Index (CPI) has increased by 3.7 percent in April 2017 as compared with increase of 3.2 percent in the previous month.

FBR needs Rs1,013bn to achieve revenue collection target

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) is required to collect Rs1,013 billion in during the last two months of current fiscal year in order to achieve the downward revised target of Rs3,935 billion for the outgoing fiscal year.
