FBR nominates nine BS-19 customs officers for mandatory course for promotion

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has nominated nine customs officers of BS-19 for 22nd Senior Management Course at National Institute of Management to be commenced from September 25, 2017.
In an office order issued on Tuesday, the FBR said that Establishment Division had nominated the following officers BS-19 of Pakistan Customs Service for 22nd Senior Management Course commencing from September 25, 2017 to January 12, 2018:
1. Engr. Riyaz Ahmed Memon
2. Sami-ul-Haq
3. Muhammad Saleem Memon
4. Munib Sarwar
5. Qasim Hafeez Cheema
6. Farrukh Sajjad
7. Ms. Tayyeba Kayani Moeed
8. Ms. Saira Agha
9. Muhammad Ashfaq
The FBR directed the nominated officers to report to concerned institute NMC Lahore, NIM Karachi and NIM Peshawar on Friday September 22, 2017.
The nominations are subject to provision of latest annual medical examination report to be submitted with concerned institute.
The nominated officers may intimate the FBR of their proceeding on training.
It is pertinent to mention that according to revised promotion policy, “if the officer is nominated for the mandatory training and he/she declines to proceed on training for two consecutive training courses, then he/she would forfeit the right to consideration for promotion.”
Moreover, the establishment division has also intimated that “in case of any withdrawal of nomination either by the department or by the officer himself/herself, the officer concerned will be responsible, if it adversely effects his/her promotion prospects.”
