ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has sought feedback from exporters for improving exports and removing impediments related to taxes for export sector.
The FBR issued a feedback form and invited comments / proposals with rationales on the existing export facilitation schemes, included: duty and tax remission for exports; export oriented unit; manufacturing bond; duty drawback; and temporary importation scheme under SRO 429(I)/2009.
The FBR said that the feedback would help the authorities to:
See whether the export facilitation scheme is trade-friendly to avail;
Evaluate whether the scheme is contributing to promotion of exports;
Remove bottlenecks, if any, on the way of smooth implementation of the scheme;
Check whether the deficiencies (if any), in the form of loose controls, are causing any revenue loss.
