Pakistan’s external debt, liabilities rise to $96.73bn

KARACHI: Pakistan’s external debt and liabilities have increased by 13 percent $96.73 billion by September 30, 2018 as compared with $85.62 billion on the corresponding date of the last year.

 

 

 

According to statistics on foreign debt and liabilities issued by State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the external debt and liabilities had increased to 31.2 percent of the GDP by September 30, 2018 as it was 26.2 percent of the GDP on the same date of the last year.

The total public external debt on the country increased to $76.34 billion as compared with $67.01 billion.
