SRB restores sales tax registration of M/s. Multinet Pakistan


KARACHI: Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has restored sales tax registration of M/s. Multinet Pakistan Pvt Limited with immediate effect, which was suspended for non-compliance with payment and return filing.
According to the provincial revenue authority, the scrutiny of M/s. Multnet – a telecommunication service provider – revealed that the company failed to deposit the sales tax amount and failed to e-file the sales tax returns for the period November 2017, January 2018 and February 2018.
Therefore, sales tax registration of the company was supended on May 16, 2018 and asked the compaly to comply with the provisions of the laws failing to which the case shall be proceeded for cancellation of registration.
The company on May 24, 2018 deposited Rs3.8 million and Rs7,117 respectively against principal amount of tax and default surcharge.
The SRB on the pledge of the company to make payment and return filing, the suspension of sales tax registration revoked with immediate effect.
