KARACHI: The rupee ended down by 34 paisas against dollar on Thursday owing to higher demand for the greenback for import payment.
The rupee ended Rs133.02 to the dollar in interbank foreign exchange market from last day’s closing of Rs132.68.
The interbank foreign exchange market initiated in the range of Rs132.60 and Rs132.70.
The market recorded day high of Rs133.50 and low of Rs132.70 and closed at Rs133.02.
The rupee also witnessed depreciation in open market as buying and selling of dollar recorded at Rs132.50/Rs133.00 from previous day’s closing of Rs132.20/Rs132.60.
