KARACHI: Karachi Customs Agents Association (KCAA) has organized an awareness session on new module of WeBOC for clearance of consignments at Karachi Export Processing Zone (KEPZ), a statement said on Tuesday.
The session was headed by KCAA President Mohammad Amin Essani along with its General Secretary Arshad Khursheed and attended by members who are dealing in KEPZ.
On the occasion Rehan Akram, Deputy Director, Directorate General of Reforms & Automation of Pakistan Customs and Arshad Hussain, Senior Manager Operation of Pakistan Revenue Automation (Pvt) Ltd (PRAL) briefed the participants in order to implement the WeBOC System at KEPZ.
This module makes ease for stack holders in general and customs agents in particulars to reduce dwell time for the clearance of consignment pertaining to KEPZ.
Rehan Akram (Deputy Director Reforms) further said that in collaboration of KCAA this presentation is being arranged for the awareness of module and procedure among the customs agents.
He also assured that the Pakistan Customs is always striving hard to facilitate the trade while remaining in the ambit of rules and procedure.
On behalf of Karachi Customs Agents Association Arshad Khurshid (General Secretary) also assured their full support and cooperation in order to implement the aforesaid module and to educate their members for any changes and reforms introduce by the Pakistan Customs from time to time.
